Working with Development by Design, Inc. (DbyD)
as part of the development team, Trogon provided program
management and owner representation support on West Oaks Owners, LLC
$40.0 million redevelopment project located in Houston, TX.
West Oaks Mall www.shopwestoaksmall.com built in 1984, encompasses a footprint of 1.1 million square feet. The redevelopment project called for demolition of approximately 175,000 square feet of the existing mall wing making room for the open air mall expansion. The Lifestyle design approach adopted for this project is one of the latest trends in retail development commonly seen in malls additions/expansions throughout the country. The expansion project includes a new 14-screen cinema, as well as 4 restaurant tenants, 3 pads that are detached from the mall that surround the theater. The cinema includes a premium Regal RPX auditorium concept that features all digital projection and audio system, which includes surround sound, RealD 3D capabilities on a wall to wall 50 foot wide screen. The open areas created will provide a year round pedestrian landscaped plaza with a water feature. The remaining wing and exterior mall facade will be reconfigured, creating a new entrance. |
