Thuy Doung Plaza (TDP) is
MegaStar Cineplex's (MSC) first location in the northern port city of
Hai Phong, and the second in its cinema portfolio. TDP is a nineteen
storey tower development containing an upscale shopping center with
Parkson Department Store, an entertainment complex anchored by MSC and
condominium towers. As the program manager, Trogon coordinated efforts between the design team and in-country A/E group to meet MSC's standards: maximizing the cinema capacity, while providing the best presentation quality and overall customer experience. The 8-screen, 1,350-seat, 4,573 square meter cinema prototype design elements developed where adapted to meet the space and project requirements. The Premier Auditorium No.1, houses one of the largest screens in Vietnam measuring 13.0m wide x 5.8m high (42'-0"x19'-0"). Each auditorium is designed with a full stadium structure maximizing each viewer's vertical and horizontal sightline to the image on the screen. All equipped with a state-of-the-art projection and sound system. Auditorium demising wall construction and interior finishes were carefully selected to meet the highest industry standards with respect to sound transmission and environment quality.
